White Karate Uniform Policy
Welcome to White Karate! Students receive a uniform when they enroll and a special uniform upon reaching black belt. Uniforms are required for class. To ensure everyone has a properly fitting and safe uniform, we have the following guidelines:
1. Initial Uniform
Each student receives a new uniform and patch at enrollment.
This is included in your initial tuition and does not require additional payment.
2. Replacement Uniforms
Due to Growth or Normal Wear & Tear:
Replacement uniforms are available at $40–$45, which covers the cost of the uniform, patch, and shipping.
Uniforms naturally wear over time. Lightweight 6 oz cotton uniforms generally last 6-12 months if well maintained.
Emergency Replacement (Ripped/Damaged During Class):
If a uniform is damaged during normal class activity, students may receive one discounted replacement per year at $35–$40.
3. Special Black Belt Uniform
Upon earning black belt, students receive a new uniform (6 oz cotton) and patch as a gift from White Karate.
This does not affect the standard replacement policy.
4. Inventory & Ordering
We keep a small supply of common sizes in stock for quick replacement.
5. Patches
The White Karate logo patch is required to be on the left chest of the gi (jacket).
Students can add an American flag patch on the upper left sleeve (shoulder). Stars should be towards the front upper corner and strips flow to the back.
Additional patches may be awarded in the future that can be added.
A replacement patch can be ordered for $7
6. Maintaining Uniform
Students will only be allow to attend class if their uniform is in good condition.
Uniform must be clean
Minor holes can be patched
7. Uniform Specifications
All color belts wear a standard cut blue karate uniform
Black belts can wear either a blue or black standard cut karate uniform
Any uniforms purchased must match the standard uniform color and cut specification
Heavier weight uniforms are allowed
8. Parent Responsibility
Check your child’s uniform regularly for fit and wear.
Uniforms should be washed according to care instructions to extend their life.
